I picked up an iPhone this past Friday at the local Rogers wireless store out here. What can I say the 9 hour wait to finally activate the phone was worth it.
If you haven’t checked out the iPhone the best place to do so would be the Apple Store in Pacific Centre downtown. Although they don’t sell the phones (you have to go to a Fido or Rogers dealer for them) they have a bunch of them on display for you to play with. Best of all if you have any questions they have more than enough staff to answer them for you.
Happy Earth Day! Our former neighbor and fellow blogger Crystal has posted some great Earth Day tips on how you can reduce your impact on the environment.
This week was the first week we were both back at work and had to commute downtown. It is actually not as bad as I thought it was going to be. It takes about 35 minutes door to door in the morning and about 1 hour to get home. It should be cut down a bit on the way home once the Cambie construction is finished and it will make picking up Jason easier.
Note to self, “Measure twice, cut once”.
If anyone needs cedar kindling for their fireplace let me know. The planters look great BTW.
I spent the most part of today working on garden planters that I am building for our garden. Ever the gadget junkie my new miter saw, air compressor and brad nailer came in handy. I only got two of them built today but I have some wood cut and ready to be assembled tomorrow.
We have added a few pictures of the new place to our Flickr account most of them include the cat which is to be expected. Have a look and let us know what you think. We will post more in the coming days once we hang a few more pictures and artwork from our friend Alex. We also have a new mirror to hang in the entry off the kitchen but I can’t for the life of me find the stud finder I just bought.
After painting the 2nd bedroom I decided that the colour mostly resembles Crest Mint toothpaste. Although it is better than the mustard yellow that was there before but not fully what we expected. Oh well. At least it looks clean!
I finally finished painting our living room today. We did 2 coats last Saturday and Sunday after we moved in but since we were painting over quite a dark green colour there was a few spots that needed a bit more paint. I also put the first coat on the stairs leading down to the office and garage downstairs. The second coat goes on tomorrow then the main level is done.
I can’t believe how small our old place seems now that we are in the townhouse. It is weird moving from 570sq/feet to 3 times that. I can’t wait for the weather to get warmer so we can get a BBQ for the patio and spend the evenings outside.
Today I am waiting around for a new freezer to be delivered and Shaw to come by and hook up cable and internet. Thankfully I have been able to a poach wireless signal from a neighbor. 4 days without internet would have probably killed me.
