  • iPhone 3G
  • I picked up an iPhone this past Friday at the local Rogers wireless store out here. What can I say the 9 hour wait to finally activate the phone was worth it.

If you haven’t checked out the iPhone the best place to do so would be the Apple Store in Pacific Centre downtown. Although they don’t sell the phones (you have to go to a Fido or Rogers dealer for them) they have a bunch of them on display for you to play with. Best of all if you have any questions they have more than enough staff to answer them for you.

  • Our Table Arrives
  • Finally after waiting for almost 2 months our table we ordered is arriving today. We purchased a dining table from a furniture store that shall go unnamed because I will probably never order from there again because of the runaround in getting the table. But at least it is finally on the delivery truck.

The table we ordered is called the Chunk Dining Table from a company called Gus Modern out of Toronto.

  • Vancouver Apple Store Opens
  • Well it’s official, Apple now has a store in Vancouver. The grand opening was today at 10:00 am. Although I was in town today I decided to skip the opening because of the long lines. After all I have visited an Apple Retail store before when I was in Las Vegas and also because I really don’t need anything “Apple” related right now.

  • Meet Mr. Sawyer
  • Last week Jason and I went to the SPCA and adopted a new cat into the family. Mr. Sawyer is his name and he is getting along great with The Monkey. He was in the SPCA awaiting adoption for over 6 months so needless to say he is glad he is in a new permanent home.

Just a word of advice on the iPhone 3G, be sure to sign up for the $30.00 6GB of data plan that is offered. The iPhone 3G is made to use data. From using my iPhone the past few days I can honestly say that 6GB is going to be more than enough without having to worry about going over your limit and getting billed extra. While $30.00 may sound like a lot for data I think of it as just having to pay $1.00/day to have the internet/email available to me wherever I am. :)

I suppose when you put it that way, the $1/day for data isn’t so jaw-dropping. However, added to a phone plan with phone features, it’s a whopping bill. Particularly compared to the $20/mth pay-as-you-go plan that I’m on (and I don’t use it all up from month-to-month). I just can’t do it.
