Honda has just unveiled their new Prius buster the “Insight” at the Paris auto show. When this car hits the North American shores next spring it is rumored to come in at $5000 less than a comparable Toyota Prius. Although I just purchased a new Nissan Versa this past year the new Insight is something I will seriously look into for the daily commute.
A few weeks ago my brother gave me a bottle of Gnarly Head Old Vine Zin for looking after his cat Verbal while he was away at the Junos in Calgary. I finally decided to crack it open and try it the other night.
Finally after waiting for almost 2 months our table we ordered is arriving today. We purchased a dining table from a furniture store that shall go unnamed because I will probably never order from there again because of the runaround in getting the table. But at least it is finally on the delivery truck.
The table we ordered is called the Chunk Dining Table from a company called Gus Modern out of Toronto.
I have been working on a new project lately and it is finally almost ready to fully launch. It is a new website called App Alley that will feature iPhone and iPod touch Apps. There is just the welcome page up right now as the coding and layout and back end get finished up but more content should be up by the begging of next week with a formal launch coming soon.
I just rrrolled up the rim and won a donut! I don’t really eat donuts but I think I will get a Boston Creme.
Last week Jason and I went to the SPCA and adopted a new cat into the family. Mr. Sawyer is his name and he is getting along great with The Monkey. He was in the SPCA awaiting adoption for over 6 months so needless to say he is glad he is in a new permanent home.
Well it’s official, Apple now has a store in Vancouver. The grand opening was today at 10:00 am. Although I was in town today I decided to skip the opening because of the long lines. After all I have visited an Apple Retail store before when I was in Las Vegas and also because I really don’t need anything “Apple” related right now.

What do you think about Rogers/Fido selling iPhones exclusively?
Well I think is was inevitable that Rogers was going to be carrying the iPhone in Canada but I was actually surprised that Fido was going to be offering it as well. I am a little disappointed that you will not be able to order an iPhone 3G online through the Apple store online or through an Apple retail store. I guess that is the price we have to pay for getting a subsidized iPhone.
I do think that Rogers really dropped the ball by not allowing pre-orders through their website though. For the announcement they should have really had the pricing plans and the ability to pre-order ready to go. But as usual Rogers fashion we are left in the dark until closer to July 11th.
