  • Honda Reveals New Insight
  • Honda has just unveiled their new Prius buster the “Insight” at the Paris auto show. When this car hits the North American shores next spring it is rumored to come in at $5000 less than a comparable Toyota Prius. Although I just purchased a new Nissan Versa this past year the new Insight is something I will seriously look into for the daily commute.

  • Our Table Arrives
  • Finally after waiting for almost 2 months our table we ordered is arriving today. We purchased a dining table from a furniture store that shall go unnamed because I will probably never order from there again because of the runaround in getting the table. But at least it is finally on the delivery truck.

The table we ordered is called the Chunk Dining Table from a company called Gus Modern out of Toronto.

  • A little project I’m working on
  • I have been working on a new project lately and it is finally almost ready to fully launch. It is a new website called App Alley that will feature iPhone and iPod touch Apps. There is just the welcome page up right now as the coding and layout and back end get finished up but more content should be up by the begging of next week with a formal launch coming soon.

  • Meet Mr. Sawyer
  • Last week Jason and I went to the SPCA and adopted a new cat into the family. Mr. Sawyer is his name and he is getting along great with The Monkey. He was in the SPCA awaiting adoption for over 6 months so needless to say he is glad he is in a new permanent home.

Cedar Planters

I spent the most part of today working on garden planters that I am building for our garden. Ever the gadget junkie my new miter saw, air compressor and brad nailer came in handy. I only got two of them built today but I have some wood cut and ready to be assembled tomorrow.

We have a rose bush to put into the big planter and are going to grow herbs in the shorter one. I have enough wood for about 4 more planters I think so will post pictures of everything on Flickr once they are all planted and growing things.

Haha, I laughed at your new gadgets. Miter saws rock. Doing any finishing work without one is painful. Air compressors are just plain wholesome fun.

BTW, I like the Tag Cloud. That’s a pretty cool idea.

Once I am done the planters I will have to find something else to make. Having not done any type of woodworking since high school I will probably just resort to cutting pieces of wood into random sizes and shoot lots of nails into them with the nail gun.

    Good clean, safe fun.
