Last night I decided to enjoy a bottle of wine that my brother brought me back from his last trip to California. The V. Sattui 2005 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is unfortunately only available at the winery so I most likely won’t be able to enjoy another for some time. To bad considering this was one of the tastiest wines I have had in a long time. It actually not to often that I drink an entire bottle in one evening but this Napa Vally Cabernet Sauvignon was one of them.
From the V. Sattui website:
A skillful, Bordeaux-like blend of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (mostly from Preston Vineyard,) Petit Verdot, Merlot and Malbec, this is a smooth-textured and silky Cabernet with deep, earthy flavors of dried mushrooms, tobacco and sage that gain intensity in the finish. Drink now and throughout the decade with steak au poivre, steak Diane or beef Stroganoff.
