- Commuting
This week was the first week we were both back at work and had to commute downtown. It is actually not as bad as I thought it was going to be. It takes about 35 minutes door to door in the morning and about 1 hour to get home. It should be cut down a bit on the way home once the Cambie construction is finished and it will make picking up Jason easier.

Note to self, “Measure twice, cut once”.
If anyone needs cedar kindling for their fireplace let me know. The planters look great BTW.

- Gnarly Head Old Vine Zin
A few weeks ago my brother gave me a bottle of Gnarly Head Old Vine Zin for looking after his cat Verbal while he was away at the Junos in Calgary. I finally decided to crack it open and try it the other night.

- Dirty Laundry
A friend of mine recommended that I try some of the white wine from Dirty Laundry Vineyard. They are a small wine producer from Summerland B.C.. Next time I am in the Liberty Wine Shop in my area I will pickup a bottle or two and give them a try.

- Our Table Arrives
Finally after waiting for almost 2 months our table we ordered is arriving today. We purchased a dining table from a furniture store that shall go unnamed because I will probably never order from there again because of the runaround in getting the table. But at least it is finally on the delivery truck.
The table we ordered is called the Chunk Dining Table from a company called Gus Modern out of Toronto.

- Nelson Swag Leg Chairs
We placed an order for our Nelson Swag Leg Chairs just after we found out the subjects came off from the sale of our apartment in Yaletown. We both really liked these chairs and decided to get them for the dining room in our new place.

- Nothing yet
Still waiting to hear as to when the dining table we ordered will arrive. We ordered it from Koolhouse. I know that’s not how you spell it but I can’t remember the spelling and really don’t care. It especially makes it hard to remember their website address or Google their website.

It seems every time Apple puts a new iPod commercial on the air the songs instantly become hits. Feist was the first one followed by CSS and Yael Naïm, now it seems that The Ting Tings are following suit with a new ad that has just showed up. Congrats Ting Tings you just sold a million songs!

Finally after drinking about 10 Tim Hortons coffee in the past 4 days I got a winner. Although I was hoping for a new car I am more than happy to settle for a free coffee.

- Meet Mr. Sawyer
Last week Jason and I went to the SPCA and adopted a new cat into the family. Mr. Sawyer is his name and he is getting along great with The Monkey. He was in the SPCA awaiting adoption for over 6 months so needless to say he is glad he is in a new permanent home.

- Gesundheit!
Monkey just got back from the vet. I took her in because she was sneezing a lot since we moved into our new place. Something which she did when we moved into our last place as well.

- Right at home
Monkey always gets a little freaked out whenever we move. We adopted her from the SPCA about a year and a half ago. She was left abandoned in an apartment when her previous owner moved and decided to leave her in an empty apartment. Having moved twice since we got her she seems to be doing a bit better this time around and really likes exploring her new home.
